Bloom Watch 2026: Tulip Festivals Worth the Trip Near Philadelphia, PA

Bloom Watch 2026: Tulip Festivals Worth the Trip Near Philadelphia, PA

From vibrant U-pick fields to curated garden strolls, here’s where to catch the best tulip displays in Pennsylvania and New Jersey this spring.

Spring shows up fast around here—and when it does, it’s tulip season. Whether you’re looking for a quick local outing or a full Saturday with the family, there are some great options within an easy drive of Ardmore.

Here are the best tulip festivals and gardens for Spring 2026:

🌷 Dalton Farms – Swedesboro, NJ

Dates: April 2 – April 24, 2026

One of the more laid-back, family-friendly tulip experiences in the area. Dalton Farms’ Tri-State Tulip Festival features over a million blooms with U-pick access, food trucks, and live music on weekends.

Why it’s worth it: Easy vibe, great for families, and less chaotic than larger festivals.

🌷 Holland Ridge Farms – Cream Ridge, NJ

Dates: April 10 – April 26, 2026

This is the big one. Holland Ridge’s U-Pick Tulip Spring Spectacular features millions of tulips across massive fields, plus a Dutch-style setup with food vendors and photo spots.

Why it’s worth it: The scale—it’s one of the largest tulip displays anywhere.

🌷 Flinchbaugh’s Orchard & Farm Market – Hellam, PA

Dates: Mid–late April (TBD for 2026)

A great middle-ground option with a U-pick field, kids activities, and a classic farm market feel. Ideal for a relaxed day trip.

Why it’s worth it: Less crowded, still plenty to do.

🌷 Chanticleer Garden – Wayne, PA

Season Opens: April 2026 (Tulips peak mid–late April)

Not a formal festival, but one of the best local spots to see spring blooms. Thoughtfully designed and much quieter than larger destinations.

Why it’s worth it: Close, peaceful, and beautifully curated.

🌷 Longwood Gardens – Kennett Square, PA

Spring Blooms: March 27 – May 3, 2026
Peak Tulips: Mid–late April

Longwood’s Spring Blooms feature tens of thousands of tulips alongside expansive gardens and indoor displays.

Why it’s worth it: The most polished and consistently impressive option.

Tips Before You Go

  • Peak bloom shifts depending on weather
  • Weekdays are best to avoid crowds
  • Buy tickets in advance when required
  • Morning or late afternoon offers the best experience

Spring is short—and tulip season is even shorter. If you’ve been saying you’ll get out to one of these spots “one of these weekends,” this is the year to actually do it.
